Position Overview

The Security Officer is tasked with executing licensed security duties to maintain the safety and security of the designated client site, including its visitors, guests, residents, and their belongings. By demonstrating vigilance and professionalism in adhering to company protocols, the Security Officer is adept at recognizing potential risks within assigned areas and is prompt in notifying the Site Supervisor or Manager on duty.

The Security Officer collaborates with supervisory personnel and operational teams to promote best practices that comply with federal and state regulations, while upholding the values and integrity of our mission to deliver an outstanding client experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a vigilant watch over assigned posts and designated perimeters
  • Observes, reports, and meets client expectations
  • Documents all incidents according to established procedures
  • Utilizes the company scheduling system for clocking in and out of shifts
  • Assesses and responds to alerts in the vicinity with professionalism and in accordance with company protocols
  • Informs the Supervisor on Duty when escalation is necessary per company guidelines
  • Assists fellow security personnel with de-escalation as needed
  • Adheres to fire prevention procedures, property patrols, and incident reporting
  • Works diligently and respectfully to ensure the safety and security of clients, visitors, and property
  • Complies with all company service and operational standards
  • Performs additional tasks as required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid NYS Security Guard License
  • Current F-02 Certification (Certificate of Fitness for Fire Guard)
  • At least 6 months of experience as a security guard
  • Completion of the 16 HR OJT Class mandated by NYS Licensing Division
  • Valid CPR-AED certification is advantageous
  • Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination
  • Strong work ethic

Compensation: $17.17/hour
