Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Advisor to join our team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will provide personalized support to graduate students, helping them navigate the academic journey and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Student Support: Provide one-on-one advising to graduate students, helping them select courses, create graduation plans, and achieve academic success.
  • Program Development: Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and implement programs that support graduate student success, including career advising, academic support, and retention initiatives.
  • Communication: Serve as a liaison between graduate students, faculty, and staff, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to support student success.
  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data to inform program development and improve student outcomes.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with best practices in academic advising and student success, attending conferences and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree: A master's degree in a related field, such as higher education, counseling, or student affairs.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in academic advising or a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse populations, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
