Position Overview:

The engineering team within Capital Asset Management comprises dynamic experts who provide project engineering, facilities engineering, consultation, and condition assessment services.


Qualifications:
Education and Experience:

For the Mechanical Engineering Specialist role, candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology with a mechanical focus and a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, including design, analysis, condition assessment, project engineering, and facilities engineering for building mechanical systems. Experience with HVAC system commissioning and control strategies is preferred, along with familiarity with energy-efficient design concepts. Proficiency in AutoCAD or Microstation drafting is desirable. Consideration will be given to equivalent combinations of education and experience. FE certification is preferred.

For the Senior Mechanical Engineer position, a Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology with a mechanical emphasis is required, along with Indiana PE Registration or the ability to obtain it within 90 days. A minimum of four (4) years of experience in mechanical engineering is necessary, with equivalent combinations of education and experience considered.


Skills Required:
As a Mechanical Engineer, candidates should demonstrate:
  • Knowledge of fundamental engineering principles and techniques, equipment, and materials used in engineering operations.
  • Ability to apply engineering principles to practical problems and utilize engineering tools, including computer applications.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capacity to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Analytical skills to design engineering solutions with appropriate oversight.
  • Professional judgment within defined frameworks.
