Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Westerman, Inc. as an Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing electrical and instrumentation systems for our oil and gas processing equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical and instrumentation systems for oil and gas processing equipment
  • Plan, control, coordinate, and close-out Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineering and Designs projects
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of technical information and design documentation
  • Perform electrical, instrumentation, and control design, including LV electrical, wiring, and cabling design
  • Validate process sensors and perform bench calibration and verification of sensors and actuators
  • Apply specialized knowledge and share expertise with colleagues
  • Maintain effective communication within the team and with clients
Requirements
  • BS in Electrical, Mechanical, and/or Chemical Engineering preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in industry or demonstrated equivalent experience preferred
  • Experience with oil and gas processing equipment and related design software preferred
  • Familiarity with industrial automation communication protocols and standard TCP/IP networking skills required
  • Familiarity with engineering drawing software and ASME code preferred
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to sit at a desk for extended periods of time and work on a computer. May be required to lift up to 15 pounds in an office setting. Must be able to sit, stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and bend. Must be able to see, speak, hear, and read. Must use fingers and hands to manipulate/utilize office machines. Must be able to walk over both even and uneven surfaces.
