Position Title: Production Operations Supervisor

Department: Manufacturing

Role Overview: The Production Operations Supervisor will report directly to the Plant Manager and will oversee the Production, Maintenance, Tooling, and Lean Manufacturing sectors. This role is pivotal in ensuring that production schedules and quality standards are consistently met while managing a team that includes the Tooling Manager, Plant Engineer Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, and Production Supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage production schedules and ensure effective utilization of resources.
  • Ensure compliance with quality requirements and operational standards.
  • Address employee-related issues in accordance with established agreements.
  • Guide the manufacturing process, including personnel, production, maintenance, and tooling needs.
  • Enforce safety and health regulations across all departments.
  • Assist in budgeting for Production, Maintenance, and Tooling with the Controller's support.
  • Maintain compliance with industry standards and implement necessary action plans.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and tooling teams to manage preventive maintenance programs.
  • Lead Lean initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business, or equivalent experience.

Experience: 5-10 years in a manufacturing environment with managerial responsibilities. Proven skills in cost management, logistics, and quality assurance are essential.

Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills are required. Lean Manufacturing training is a plus.

Work Environment: The role involves a mix of sitting and standing, with occasional lifting of moderate-weight materials. The supervisor will experience exposure to varying environmental factors and will need to manage mental stress related to production demands.
