Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Vice President of Resident Care to join our team at Commonwealth Senior Living. This is a unique opportunity to lead our resident care programs and training initiatives, ensuring the highest level of clinical excellence and quality care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resident Care Leadership: Provide guidance, support, and hands-on assistance to resident care staff, fostering a culture of exceptional care delivery and clinical excellence.
  • Program Development: Develop and implement efficient processes, policies, and tools to improve resident care services and stay current with industry regulatory standards, trends, and innovations.
  • Staff Development: Plan and lead monthly resident care staff communication and information sharing meetings, innovate and create programs for resident care staff to exchange knowledge and expertise.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct and review audits of our communities to identify physical environment, resident care services, safety practices, infection control, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with Information Technology to ensure care technologies align with efficient processes, identify, analyze, and report on key process performance metrics, and work with operations and sales to address issues.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with community personnel, including conducting entrance and exit conferences with Community leadership, establish rapport with residents, direct care staff, and other managers in the communities.
  • Education and Training: Provide education, training, and/or competency to community personnel on resident care skills, resident care policies, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Maintains a current state license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, in good standing, per state regulations in Virginia, Maryland, Michigan, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, and/or Connecticut. Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Director of Nursing/Resident Care Director/Assisted Living Director.
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum of 3 years of nurse management experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and daily resident care operation supervision.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: High level of communication skills, both verbal and written, confirmed leadership experience - able to inspire and motivate others.
  • Physical and Sensory Requirements: Must be mobile and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, including lifting greater than 50 lbs, long stretches on one's feet, walking around, and long stretches in a vehicle.
