Denali Family Services is seeking a skilled Clinician to join our team. As a Clinician, you will provide direct and indirect clinical services to Severely Emotionally Disturbed (SED) children and their families, and provide clinical oversight to Case Managers, Behavioral Health Associates, and therapeutic foster care providers.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide continual clinical oversight to children and families with an external clinician at least twice per month.
- Complete initial and annual comprehensive mental health assessments following agency guidelines.
- Develop service plans through team collaboration that clearly define consumer goals, interventions, service outcomes, safety plans, visitation plans, and discharge plans quarterly following agency guidelines.
- Provide clinical and rehabilitative services to individuals, families, and groups in the clinic, in consumer homes, and in the community for approximately 24 hours of service.
- Actively provide clinical leadership of treatment team meetings and lead clinical oversight of the team.
- Document all services provided to consumers in a timely manner.
- Interface with local service providers on a regular basis.
- Participate in required agency trainings and meetings.
- Actively participate in weekly supervision with Clinical Director.
- Maintain all confidentiality laws and follow all mandatory reporting laws.
- Provide clinical support in acute crisis situations.
- A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, human services, psychology, or a closely related field.
- Two (2) years professional experience in family and children's services which included working with people identified with developmental disabilities and/or as severely emotionally disturbed.
- Pursuing licensure.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Sound clinical and therapeutic skills.
- Ability to accurately document events, provide detailed records for consumers, and work with a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to maintain positive professional working relationships and to work effectively within a team environment.
- Organized, efficient, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and good written communication.
- Ability to ensure consumer and employee confidentiality as prescribed by agency policy and federal law.
- Proficient with Microsoft applications and possess the ability to learn other software applications.
- Knowledge and understanding of all agency protocol, policy, procedure, plans, and program requirements.
- Ability to act decisively and with fairness.
- Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
- Ability to pass a State and FBI background check in accordance with the State of Alaska Background Checking Unit.
