About the Role

Suffolk Construction is seeking a highly skilled Project Accountant to join our team. As a national leader in the construction industry, we challenge the status quo every day by gathering the people, innovations, and partnerships that can explore and go after new ways to do our jobs.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly owner requisitions and review and approve subcontractor requisitions and vendor invoices.
  • Manage subcontractor compliance with terms and conditions of the contract, including insurance, bonds, waivers, CCIP enrollment, and billing procedures.
  • Assist Project Management in the monthly project forecast, including validation of the projected fee and percent complete forecast.
  • Process subcontractor and owner change orders in Oracle.
  • Process labor and AP job cost transfers.
  • Monitor the cash position of the project and complete the monthly cash position analysis.
  • Prepare project cash forecasts.
  • Assist the Corporate Risk Manager in the administration of a Contractor Controlled Insurance Program (CCIP).
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or other relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • Ability to adapt to different personalities and management styles.
  • Outstanding team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with CCIP/OCIP project administration and analysis is a plus.
  • Above average organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented and able to meet deadlines.
  • Dedicated and hard working.
  • Leadership qualities.

Working Conditions

The employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing.
