Responsibilities
  • Operate a large public transportation vehicle, carrying 16 or more passengers
  • Drive in a variety of conditions, including countywide routes and variable schedules
  • Perform skilled service work, adhering to safety regulations and protocols
  • Meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling heavy objects
  • Work independently and as part of a team, providing excellent customer service
Requirements
  • One year of experience driving a passenger bus at least 35 feet in length, or 24 months driving a non-passenger vehicle over 35 feet in length with a CDL
  • Valid Florida Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's license with a P endorsement
  • Ability to pass a Florida Department of Transportation physical and background investigation
  • First-aid and CPR certification
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a variety of conditions, including:

  • In or with moving objects or vehicles
  • In dampness or chilly conditions
  • In heat
  • In high humidity
  • In or with dusty conditions
  • In or with noisy conditions
  • On slippery or uneven walking surfaces

Please note that this position is safety-sensitive and requires a valid CDL.
