We are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Specialist to join our team at Aerzen USA Corporation. As a key member of our engineering team, you will design, document, troubleshoot, support, and commission automated control systems for our products and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Interactions:
- Interact professionally with sales, project management, purchasing, production, and customer support teams.
- Provide technical knowledge, expertise, and documentation regarding Aerzen blower and compressor equipment and control systems.
- Quality:
- Avoid defects and ensure quality in all aspects of work.
- Follow and apply the ISO 9001 design process where applicable.
- Assist in closing CARS, performing root cause failure analysis, and vetting suppliers.
- Autonomy & Complexity:
- Acquire knowledge and develop skills autonomously and under the strategic direction of direct management.
- Operate under supervision, performing work that is varied and may be somewhat difficult in character.
- Update product and job knowledge by participating in training opportunities and reading industry publications.
- Mentorship:
- Work closely with peers and junior engineers to advance their development.
- Provide training, mentorship, and assistance in checking work.
- Strategy Execution:
- Coordinate with direct management in the execution of project work and research and development projects.
- Engineering Design:
- Understand and address product and project-related specifications.
- Perform calculations, generate drawings, produce bills of materials, and design equipment and systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations for engineering designs.
- Create and maintain engineering tools to aid in design and work within Aerzen's ERP software and document control systems.
- Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET/EAC Accredited Program.
- Field of Study:
- Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Civil, Software, Environmental Engineering, or equivalent engineering degree.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2-6 Years of Relevant Professional Experience in the Instrumentation & Controls Field.
- Experience in the field shall reflect that of a competent professional.
- Expertise:
- Preferred expertise in the following fields:
- Control system hardware and software design.
- Process Familiarity: Industrial compressed gas/air distribution systems, environmental operation, and wastewater treatment, vacuum systems.
- PLC Programming, Operation, Integration, and Troubleshooting.
- Preferred expertise in the following fields:
- Platforms:
- Siemens (TIA Portal).
- Rockwell/Allen Bradley (RSlogix 5000, Studio5000).
- Computer Skills:
- Proficiency in structured text, ladder logic, and object-oriented programming.
- MS Office programs.
- Able to navigate and learn new software systems, collect and analyze large datasets.
