Position Overview:
The Accountant II plays a crucial role in executing various financial and accounting functions, including reconciliations and analytical tasks. This position encompasses responsibilities related to Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and additional financial operations. The Accountant II collaborates closely with both the Finance/Accounting and Sales departments, contributing significantly to the overall effectiveness of the Finance/Accounting team.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Primarily assists in the management of the company's accounts receivable, which involves reconciling provider commission statements and identifying as well as resolving discrepancies.
2. Compiles, analyzes, and documents business transactions while accurately recording general ledger entries.
3. Aids in accounts payable functions and oversees payment scheduling.
4. Supports monthly closing processes and financial reporting activities.
5. Conducts necessary audits and participates in projects by generating reports, performing analyses, and providing relevant information or summaries as needed.
6. Researches and communicates basic accounting issues effectively, escalating them when necessary.
7. Applies appropriate accounting practices for the preparation of records, transaction research, and reporting.
8. Delivers customer service and reporting to partners.
9. Undertakes additional related duties as required or requested.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience.

Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Attention to detail and the capacity to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Ability to learn new systems and software rapidly.
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- A solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.

Preferred Experience:
- 1 year of experience in public accounting.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and Quickbooks Online.
