Job Summary

Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Safety and Health Analyst to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in San Diego, CA. As a key member of the NISC IV program, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for employees and the public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement safety training programs to educate employees on safe work practices.
  • Collaborate with the FAA to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and industry standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop plans to mitigate potential hazards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as industrial hygiene or occupational safety.
  • 4+ years of experience in occupational safety and health, with a focus on industrial hygiene or safety management.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, with occasional overnight stays.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with OSHA regulations and industry standards.
  • Knowledge of safety management systems and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Ability to develop and implement safety training programs.
  • Experience working with the FAA or other government agencies.
