Job Summary:

Leidos is seeking a talented and experienced Occupational Safety Health Analyst to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) from their facility located in San Diego, CA. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring workplace conditions comply with applicable federal and state Occupational Safety and Health standard provisions, investigating incidents, and preparing reports. Your expertise in industrial hygiene and occupational safety will be instrumental in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Investigate incidents and prepare reports to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement safety training programs to educate employees on safe work practices and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the FAA and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination on safety-related matters.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and industry best practices to ensure the organization remains compliant and competitive.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as industrial hygiene, occupational safety, or environmental science.
  • 4+ years of experience in occupational safety and health, with a focus on industrial hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, with occasional overnight stays.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification.
  • Experience with safety management software and other relevant tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex safety issues.
