Job Title: Thermal Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Thermal Design Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a Thermal Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing thermal systems for our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform detailed thermal analysis and simulations to ensure optimal thermal performance.
  • Design and develop thermal systems, including heat pipes, radiators, and thermal interface materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate thermal design into overall product development.
  • Develop and maintain thermal models and simulations to support product development and testing.
  • Conduct thermal testing and analysis to validate design performance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in thermal design and analysis.
  • Proficiency in thermal analysis software, including ANSYS Fluent and Thermal Desktop.
  • Strong understanding of heat transfer principles and thermal systems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with CAD design and simulation tools.
  • Knowledge of thermal control hardware and materials.
  • Experience with thermal testing and validation.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $105,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
