Job Title: Thermal Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Thermal Design Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing thermal systems for our satellite constellation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform detailed thermal analysis and simulations to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Design and develop thermal control systems, including heat pipes, radiators, and temperature sensors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate thermal systems into our satellite design.
  • Develop and maintain thermal models and simulations to support system testing and validation.
  • Conduct thermal testing and validation to ensure system performance meets requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in thermal design and analysis.
  • Proficiency in thermal analysis software, including ANSYS Fluent and Thermal Desktop.
  • Experience with finite element analysis and computational fluid dynamics.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • CAD skills, including NX and Solidworks.
  • Experience with thermal design implementations for high-volume production.
  • Design for batch testing for subsystem workmanship tests.
