Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Dietitian to join our team at Primary Children's Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing medical nutrition therapy to patients with various medical conditions, including oncology and cancer transplant patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop personalized nutrition plans for patients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Implement and monitor nutrition interventions, including quality nutrition education and counseling.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  • Participate in departmental continuous improvement projects and contribute to the development of best practices.
  • Precept students and provide mentorship to junior staff members.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in dietetics, nutrition, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of an approved Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) program.
  • Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or registration eligible.
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certified Dietitian in the state of Utah or obtain within six months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience as a registered dietitian.
  • Pediatric, oncology, and/or nutrition support experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to interact with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Ability to operate computers and other equipment.
  • Ability to see and read computer monitors and documents.
  • Ability to remain sitting or standing for long periods of time.
