Job Summary

Arcfield is seeking a highly skilled Financial Systems Analyst II to join our team. As a key member of our financial management team, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial management and budgetary analysis to support organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Budget Preparation and Analysis
    • Provide expert advice and technical assistance in the preparation of annual budgets.
    • Examine budget estimates and proposals for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives.
    • Conduct cost-benefit analysis to review financial requests, assess program tradeoffs, and explore alternative funding methods.
  • Financial Management and Reporting
    • Manage finances across multiple funding types, including tracking budgets, costs, and variances.
    • Produce executive summaries, conduct financial reporting, and analyze financial issues to meet customer requirements.
    • Develop and propose courses of action (COAs) and recommendations for financial issues.
  • Policy Development and Implementation
    • Develop guidelines and policies governing the formulation and maintenance of budgets.
    • Research economic and financial developments that affect the organization's spending patterns.
    • Interpret and apply financial management principles, techniques, policies, and regulations aligned with organizational strategic goals.
  • Training and Coordination
    • Conduct training sessions for company or government agency personnel on new budget procedures.
    • Coordinate financial activities across various stakeholders to ensure cohesive financial planning and execution.
  • Research and Analysis
    • Employ research methods and statistical analysis to provide data-driven insights for budget formulation and financial management.
    • Utilize financial/analytical software tools, such as spreadsheets, to support data analysis and reporting.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork
    • Work as part of a team in the delivery of financial products or services.
    • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of financial strategies with overall organizational goals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in financial systems analysis, accounting, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with SQL, VBA, or other programming languages is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess and be able to maintain a Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience providing financial services to DoD customers.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS in Finance or Information Systems).
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA, or similar).
  • Experience in system implementation or migration projects.
