Retail Department Manager Job Description

The Retail Department Manager plays a pivotal role in driving department sales to achieve the store sales plan. This position is responsible for overseeing aspects of merchandising, customer service, and store maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and Engage Customers: Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and acknowledging every customer with Ollie's Yes I Care, Yes I Can approach to build long-term customer loyalty.
  • Product Knowledge: Be knowledgeable of all products, promotions, and advertisements to ensure that customer questions can be answered and to assist with selling product.
  • Receiving and Pricing: Assist with receiving the truck and pricing items.
  • Visual Merchandising: Ensure that all product within the department is merchandised and recovered per the visual merchandise standards.
  • Communication: Communicate customer needs to Team Leaders when necessary.
  • Training and Development: Assist with training new Associates.
  • Register Operations: Accurately and efficiently operate the register.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness of the overall store, complete any additional responsibilities, and/or duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
