As a vital member of the restaurant operations management team, you will oversee the overall functioning of the restaurant, focusing on food quality, production, hospitality, safety, and labor in the absence of the General Manager.
Position Summary:
We are in search of a seasoned restaurant professional to join our dynamic and fast-paced kitchen environment. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our food quality, safety, and service standards are not only met but surpassed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Management and Training: Lead the training and supervision of kitchen personnel.
- Food Preparation Oversight: Guarantee that food is prepared and presented according to established standards.
- Inventory and Cost Management: Track and manage food inventory and expenses, placing orders for supplies and equipment as necessary.
- Hygiene and Sanitation Standards: Uphold and ensure rigorous hygiene and sanitation practices within the restaurant.
- Issue Resolution: Efficiently address any challenges that arise in the kitchen.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven, stable work history with management experience (Kitchen Manager, Restaurant Manager, or Head Chef) in a high-volume, casual dining or family-style setting.
- Kitchen Management Experience: Minimum of 1 year (required).
- Relevant Experience: 3 years (preferred).
- Skills: - Proficient in production cooking techniques. - Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Administrative Knowledge: Familiarity with administrative duties and cash handling.
- Labor Management: Experience in scheduling and overseeing labor.
- Physical Requirements: Capable of lifting up to 60 pounds.
- Work Hours: Expected to work 50 to 55 hours weekly.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Availability: Must be available for day, evening, morning shifts, and weekends.
