Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales & Marketing Manager to join our team at WS Management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in hospitality sales, a deep understanding of the local market, and the ability to develop and execute effective sales and marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Business Development:
    • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue goals for rooms, catering, and events.
    • Identify and target key market segments, including corporate, group, and leisure travel, to drive business to the hotel.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, while proactively seeking new business opportunities through networking, sales calls, and industry events.
    • Conduct site visits, property tours, and presentations to prospective clients, showcasing the unique features and benefits of the hotel.
    • Negotiate and finalize contracts, ensuring all terms and conditions are in line with hotel standards and client expectations.
    • Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
    • Work closely with the catering and events teams to ensure seamless coordination of group bookings and events, from initial inquiry to execution.
  • Marketing & Promotions:
    • Collaborate with the Director of Sales and Marketing to create and execute integrated marketing campaigns that drive awareness and bookings.
    • Develop and manage content for social media platforms, ensuring consistent brand messaging and engagement with target audiences.
    • Coordinate and execute email marketing campaigns, tracking performance metrics and optimizing for maximum impact.
    • Design and produce promotional materials, including flyers, brochures, and digital content, to support sales and marketing efforts.
    • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and digital marketing performance, adjusting strategies as needed.
    • Represent the hotel at local and regional industry events, trade shows, and business networking opportunities, promoting the hotel's brand and offerings.

Requirements:

  • Hospitality experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a sales and marketing management role within the hospitality industry, specifically in a hotel setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the San Diego market and a network of industry contacts.
  • Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets, with a track record of driving revenue growth.
  • Experience in developing and executing marketing campaigns, with a strong understanding of digital marketing strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Proficiency in hotel sales software (e.g., STS, Delphi, Opera) and social media and marketing tools along with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by business needs.
