Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Designation Coordinator to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a Designation Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring that healthcare facilities meet the necessary designation requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct desk reviews and on-site surveys to determine if facilities meet designation requirements
  • Compile, review, and analyze complex technical information to evaluate management, supervision, and quality of care delivery
  • Determine action plans required from designation survey reports and investigate any complaints or non-compliance
  • Provide consultation and training to facilities seeking designation and assist in the development and implementation of performance improvement and quality assessment processes
  • Represent the agency at stakeholder meetings and provide information to facilities and healthcare providers regarding designation rules and the survey process
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of healthcare facility operations, regulation, and procedures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with diverse groups
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
