Responsibilities:
  • Develop data management plans to identify management and governance approaches for data utilized across an organization.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, government management, contractors, and other staff to establish data requirements for next-generation IT systems.
  • Evaluate proposed approaches to organize, store, and analyze data with attention to security and confidentiality.
  • Maintain proficiency in the latest data trends, technologies, and policies.
  • Evaluate and advise on data management techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy of data.
  • Assist in the development of data management policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate proposed approaches and procedures for efficient and secure data handling.
  • Provide technical expertise in the areas of data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.
  • Provide guidance and approaches to resolve or mitigate complex data-related issues using expert knowledge and analysis.
  • Communicate complex information to individuals with various levels of IT knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Current active U.S. Government clearance (TS/SCI) with polygraph.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • Deep subject matter expertise concerning data management and data governance.
  • This position has an on-site requirement of 5 days a week on-site.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience managing structured and unstructured data stores.
  • Capable of defining and executing a strategic vision.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
