Kenny Kent Chevrolet - Automotive Lube Specialist

We are seeking an Automotive Lube Specialist to become a vital part of our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing essential vehicle maintenance tasks, including routine oil changes, tire rotations, multi-point inspections, and lubrication services as assigned.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Saturday, 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM, with alternating weekends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute maintenance tasks, including oil and filter changes, lubrication, and other services with precision and in line with dealership standards.
  • Conduct inspections and report any necessary maintenance or replacements, such as air filters.
  • Monitor fluid levels and replenish as needed.
  • Perform thorough Multi-Point Vehicle Inspections.
  • Complete follow-up stickers and affix them to the vehicle's windshield.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
  • Document all services performed accurately.
  • Ensure quality control of completed work.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills.
  • Stay updated on factory technical bulletins.
  • Ensure customer vehicles are kept clean during service.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding waste disposal.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and management, fostering a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive maintenance.
  • Ability to perform safety inspections and document findings accurately.
  • Capability to create estimates for maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with a desire for continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and service procedures.
  • Proficiency in using electronic diagnostic tools.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Preferred: Technical degree or formal training in automotive service.
  • Preferred: One year of experience in a service department.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
