The Pediatric Medical Scribe plays a vital role in the healthcare delivery process, working closely with medical professionals to ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule: Monday-Wednesday, 8 AM - 5 PM
- Prepare patient charts according to clinic protocols.
- Accompany healthcare providers during patient consultations.
- Document patient histories, physical examinations, procedures, and care plans as directed by the provider.
- Assist providers in maintaining quality metrics by reminding them of relevant standards during patient visits.
- Input laboratory and imaging results as ordered by the provider.
- Record medication orders as dictated by the provider.
- Provide printed instructions for patients based on provider recommendations.
- Review completed documentation with the provider between patient visits or at the end of the shift.
- Update provider preferences and clinic documentation as necessary.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficient computer skills with a quick adaptability to new software.
- A background in healthcare (e.g., pre-med, pre-PA, pre-nursing) is preferred.
- A Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred, with a minimum GPA of 3.00.
- A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- If lacking a college degree, a minimum of 3 years of full-time work experience is strongly preferred.
- Typing speed of at least 60 WPM is typically required; some roles may require a speed of 80 WPM.
- Full-time availability is necessary, Monday through Friday.
- Spanish language proficiency may lead to higher compensation.
- Opportunity to receive letters of recommendation from healthcare providers.
