Job Summary

NW Pediatric & Family Nutrition is a private nutrition practice dedicated to helping families cultivate a healthy relationship with food and their bodies. With offices in Portland, Vancouver, WA, and Bend, OR, we provide client-focused medical nutrition therapy for various concerns, including picky eating, eating disorders, weight concerns, food sensitivities, and general family nutrition.

Job Description
  • Provide evidence-based nutrition counseling and medical nutrition therapy to adolescent and adult clients and their families, both virtually and in-person at our Portland, Vancouver, or Bend, Oregon locations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client care.
  • Coordinate care with other providers as needed.
  • Perform relevant administrative tasks.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with other providers to ensure referrals and a strong reputation in the community.
  • Part-time, with the potential to grow to 3-4 days/week once in-network with insurance, which typically takes about three months.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Develop personalized nutrition plans with clients, including nutritional assessments at the initial visit.
  • Utilize an online scheduler to facilitate scheduling.
  • Chart client information in our electronic health record.
  • Provide summary letters and fax them to providers as needed.
  • Communicate with other care members when necessary.
  • Participate in community speaking, networking, or educational events.
  • Attend local CEU events and webinars for continued professional growth.
  • Stay current on CEUs in compliance with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
  • Participate in networking opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Licensed in the State of Oregon (Certified Dietitian (CD) in Washington or willing to become certified).
  • Ability to work in our Portland, Bend, or Vancouver office 1-2 days/week.
  • At least 1 year of post-internship experience working with pediatrics or eating disorders.
  • Ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in clinical or outpatient nutrition.
  • Experience as an outpatient clinician is strongly preferred.
  • Job Type: Part-time, with negotiable hours and days.
