Medical Scribe Professional

Scribe-X is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Scribe Professional to join our team. As a critical member of the patient care team, the successful candidate will work closely with healthcare providers to document patient encounters in real-time.
Key Responsibilities- Chart Preparation: Perform chart preparation according to clinic protocol to ensure accurate and efficient documentation.
- Accompanying Providers: Accompany healthcare providers in all scheduled patient visits to provide timely and accurate documentation.
- Documentation: Document patient history, physical exam, procedures, and patient plan as performed by the provider, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Quality Metrics: Remind providers of relevant quality metrics when appropriate and document to support quality metrics.
- Lab and Radiographic Studies: Enter laboratory and radiographic studies as ordered by the provider.
- Medication Orders: Enter medication orders as dictated by the provider.
- Instructions for Patients: Document and print instructions for patients.
- Chart Review: Review completed charts with the provider between patients or at the completion of shift.
- Provider Preferences: Update provider preference and clinic preference documents as necessary.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written English skills.
- Technical Skills: Demonstrate strong computer skills with the ability to learn and navigate new software quickly.
- Healthcare Background: Preferably have a healthcare track (e.g. pre-med, pre-PA, pre-nursing) and a Bachelor's degree with a GPA of 3.00 or greater.
- Physical Demands: Be able to walk and/or stand for multiple hours at a time.
- Typing Speed: Possess a typing speed of at least 60 WPM, with some assignments requiring 80 WPM or higher.
- Language Skills: Spanish-speakers are eligible for a higher pay.
- Letters of Recommendation: Opportunity for letters of recommendation from providers.
