The selected individual will be responsible for managing the general ledger and preparing the company's financial statements while ensuring adherence to GAAP standards. The role involves delivering monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with precision and efficiency, while maintaining exceptional service standards.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the vision, mission, and core values of REEDS Jewelers.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the General Ledger, including journal entries and account reconciliations in accordance with GAAP.
  • Direct the monthly and annual closing processes, including the preparation and review of financial statements.
  • Lead the accounting team, focusing on recruitment, training, professional development, and performance evaluation.
  • Facilitate the coordination of financial audits and compliance documentation.
  • Formulate policies, procedures, and systems that align with organizational goals.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes to enhance financial operations.
  • Analyze financial outcomes and communicate insights to support management decisions.
  • Manage special projects as assigned.
  • Conduct business with integrity, fostering a socially responsible workplace.

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring in-office attendance two days a week.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or an MBA.
  • Strong grasp of accounting principles.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
  • Experience with Workday is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other relevant software.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to collaborate effectively across various departments.
