Phlebotomy Specialist

At Synectics Inc, we are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients and preparing them for laboratory testing. You will work closely with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and drawing blood specimens in a safe and accurate manner.
Key Responsibilities- Collect blood samples from patients and prepare them for laboratory testing.
- Explain procedures to patients and draw blood specimens in a safe and accurate manner.
- Work closely with patients to create an atmosphere of trust and confidence.
- Perform verification of patient demographic information and initials.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, and employees.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred.
- 3 years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
- Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.
- Must be able to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
- Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
- Superior Customer Focus; ability to communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
