Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sepsis Coordinator Registered Nurse RN to join our team at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest. As a Sepsis Coordinator, you will play a vital role in reviewing the sepsis screening process, communicating with nurses, and providing education and resources to staff on sepsis screening, documentation, and care of septic patients.

Responsibilities
  • Review and improve the sepsis screening process to ensure compliance with orders in ED and Inpatient units
  • Provide education and resources to nursing staff on the use of fluid resuscitation devices and care of septic patients in the ICU
  • Participate in the attainment of departmental goals, including nursing staff education and competency, nursing orientation and preceptor development, professional practice development, and patient and family education
  • Plan and implement educational programs based on clinical staff's identified learning needs and competency deficiencies
  • Evaluate educational programs and share results with management, recommending new courses or improvements based on feedback
  • Serve as a clinical resource to staff and students
Requirements
  • BSN required, MSN preferred
  • CPR and ACLS certifications required
  • A minimum of three years hospital clinical experience and at least one year of teaching experience in a hospital setting required
  • Proven experience in program design and facilitation preferred
