Pediatric Clinical Coordinator RN Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced RN to take on a leadership role as a Clinical Coordinator in our pediatric unit. In this position, you will mentor and support your team to provide patient-centered nursing care to children from birth through their late teens and into early adulthood.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day clinical management of the unit, maintaining customer satisfaction (patient, visitors, physicians and staff).
  • Perform therapeutic care for infants, children, adolescents and young adult patients who present with a variety of acute and chronic conditions and disabilities.
  • Support personnel management functions such as interviewing, hiring, orientation, training, performance management and scheduling.
  • Motivate, train and champion staff to reach their professional goals.
  • Ensure compliance with professional, regulatory, governmental and organizational standards, including quality metrics (Core Measures and HCAHPS).

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
  • Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License.
  • 3+ years of current nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
  • 1 year of nursing experience in a pediatric unit.
  • 1 year of leadership experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
