Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with guests at Great Wolf Resorts
  • Participate in child-friendly promotional activities both on-site and in the community
  • Represent Great Wolf Resorts positively, embodying our mission and core values
  • Deliver branded experiences consistently following established procedures
  • Facilitate high-energy brand events and activities throughout the shift, including Storytime, Dance Party, Yoga, Arts and Crafts, and other signature experiences
  • Interact with families while leading hands-on activities such as arts and crafts, bingo, and board games
  • Oversee all aspects of Character Appearances and Entertainment at the property, including:
  • Perform character duties according to Great Wolf Resorts standards; learn and execute signature character movements and non-verbal communication
  • Guide characters to and from designated meet and greet locations, acting as the 'voice' of the character
  • Manage character costume operations, including care and maintenance
  • Commit to scheduled character appearances at on-site and off-site events
  • Participate in seasonal activities throughout the year
  • Learn new programming regularly, including dances, crafts, or themed events
  • Maintain a performance-ready demeanor at all times, entertaining guests through public performance
  • Support community appearances, including sponsors, charities, tradeshows, media, and private functions
  • Assist the Entertainment team with inventory management of event materials
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and professional environment during the organization and execution of branded experiences
Basic Qualifications:
  • Comfortable performing in front of large groups multiple times a day
  • Some High School education or equivalent
  • Flexible scheduling availability based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong customer service and communication skills; able to understand and interpret English safety and operational manuals
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Entertainment, Dance, or Theater
  • Charismatic and enthusiastic personality
  • Able to multitask and prioritize various responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Previous experience working with children
  • Strong teamwork abilities
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to sit and/or stand for extended periods
  • Ability to maintain composure in character costumes, including in heat and humidity
  • Ability to dance and perform in warm, humid, and outdoor environments for extended periods
