Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform administrative tasks of a confidential nature, including processing background checks, compiling new student hire information, and collecting new student hire paperwork.
  • Generate documents using Microsoft Office software and maintain accurate records.
  • Responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating files and record-keeping systems, including scanning for electronic image documentation.
  • Must be proficient in Excel, Word, Publisher, and PowerPoint, with the ability to maintain and create multiple documents.
  • Comfortable using web-based programs and listings, with the ability to maintain position postings on a web-based program.
  • Generate reports, memorandums, correspondence, presentation materials, spreadsheets, graphics, and other similar materials using computer systems.
  • Perform tasks and support services associated with preparing and making arrangements for meetings, conferences, travel, or other related duties for internal and external contacts.
  • Conduct special projects and assignments as assigned.
  • Assist with special events and functions as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service, anticipating and exceeding the needs of our customers.
  • Understand and abide by all external and internal regulations and policies, including NCAA, GLIAC, and national affiliations associated with athletics or other role-specific regulations.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours as an undergraduate student or 3 credit hours as a graduate student while meeting the standards of academic progress.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel required.
  • Experience in an office setting preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work accurately and effectively with computerized data systems (PC and mainframe).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that transcend diverse audiences, communicating to university customers with positive attitudes toward change, confidentiality, and conflict resolution.
