We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Support Specialist to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a Clinical Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Assist healthcare providers with routine examinations and procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
- Review patient care documentation, identifying any significant changes in patient condition and reporting to registered nurses or physicians promptly.
- Provide administrative support, including organizing and prioritizing workload, greeting and directing visitors, and maintaining medical records.
- Perform routine quality assurance audits, safety checks, and inventory of supplies to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and assisting with ambulation, as outlined in the plan of care.
- Measure and record vital signs, patient height, and weight, and may be responsible for specimen collection, skin preps/scrubs, catheter care, capillary blood glucose checks, simple wound care, range of motion exercises, and/or postural drainage.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Listed as Nurse Aide I Registry with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
- One year of clerical or customer service experience and six months of related nursing assistant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week. The salary range is $15.64 - $22.48 per hour. The work schedule is night shift, and the location is Lenoir, NC.
