This Agile Product Owner position is responsible for the ongoing development of the Contract/Policy Domain platform, which supports servicing use cases for Annuities and Life products. This role is at the forefront of shaping the future of our technology organization and enhancing how our technology serves clients in this domain.

As a Lead Product Owner in our Agile environment, you should possess experience in the Agile Scrum Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Familiarity with SAFe Agile methodologies is also highly beneficial. A technical background will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the SAE/CPO of the Contract/Policy Domain to establish a clear product vision.
  • Communicate the product vision effectively to key stakeholders, clients, and consumers.
  • Ensure product features align with Agile Epics, Features, and Stories, maintaining coherence with the overall product vision.
  • Develop and continuously refine the product backlog in collaboration with the team and Scrum Master, ensuring clarity, estimation, and prioritization of all items.
  • Review, provide feedback, and approve all completed work by the team (Product Owner Review) prior to release to business partners.
  • Work closely with the team Tech Lead and the platform System Architect to deliver modular, reusable, and forward-thinking solutions.
  • Lead multiple teams across the Domain Journey to build skill sets, enhance collaboration in development, and optimize compensation capabilities for improved speed to market and operational efficiency.

Professional Skills:

  • Extensive industry experience with strong expertise in life insurance and annuity product development and servicing.
  • Direct experience with the Agile SDLC is essential.
  • Proficiency in Jira or similar tools is required.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of aligning the organization on complex business feature support and aiding in technical decision-making.
  • An active coach and mentor focused on maximizing team potential.
  • Ability to establish a clear vision and strategy, maintain an external focus, take calculated risks, and collaborate to seize opportunities.
  • Strong soft skills, including collaboration, creative thinking, critical observation, decision-making, and problem-solving.
