This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of the College by overseeing the student accounts receivable function.

You will manage and oversee the day-to-day activities of the student loan management team to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of student billing and collecting student payments.

Your strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of managing billing and collections, and ability to collaborate across departments will be essential in achieving the College's financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and improve processes for student loan underwriting, billing, compliance, and collections to ensure the receivables cycle is effective.
  • Continuously evaluate billing processes and systems, identifying opportunities for streamlining, automation, and efficiency enhancements.
  • Drive process improvements to minimize losses and maintain strong internal controls.
  • Manage student receivables and analyze data to track metrics related to student payment performance.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to prevent and resolve delinquencies.
  • Lead a team to address student questions, set up agreements, and follow up on outstanding matters.
  • Work with the finance and accounting team to reconcile student receivable balances, maintain accurate aging, provide necessary reports, and support the financial reporting function.
  • Coordinate with the financial aid team to ensure students' financing is properly and timely arranged and communicated.
  • Manage and hold accountable third-party vendors, including student loan servicers and collections agencies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive, relevant receivables management experience.
  • 3+ years of management or supervisory experience.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make timely decisions.
