Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Student Assistant to support our Marketing Event Planners with traditional enrollment initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will have a significant amount of responsibility and ownership in organizing, facilitating, executing, and communicating a wide variety of event logistics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to Marketing Event Planners, including data entry, document preparation, and other tasks as needed.
  • Vendor Liaison: Liaise with vendors and stakeholders during the event planning process to ensure seamless execution.
  • Event Materials: Build and maintain a variety of event materials, including spreadsheets, presentations, and other visual aids.
  • Event Execution: Assist with event set-up, tear down, and follow-up processes to ensure a successful event.
  • Training Materials: Update training materials as needed to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Requirements
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and reliability in all aspects of the job.
  • Leadership Skills: Possess a high level of confidence and leadership to assume lead roles and make decisions.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work both independently and in a team setting to achieve common goals.
  • Communication Skills: Possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to learn programs quickly, including Workamajig, CRM, Sharepoint, and other software applications.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Possess a flexible schedule to accommodate changing event needs.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 25lbs and perform other physical tasks as required.
Eligibility Requirements
  • Student Status: Be enrolled at Grand Canyon University as a full-time student in a Bachelor's program or Master's program.
  • GPA: Maintain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
  • Financial and Academic Standing: Maintain good financial and academic standing with the University.
Work Environment

The work environment is primarily inside, subject to variations in temperature and weather, equipment noise and dust. The physical demands of the job include sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, reaching, grasping, and fine eye-hand coordination.

The pay rate is minimum wage, and the anticipated end date is June 30, 2025.
