Job Summary

The Isaac School District is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist Assistant to provide educationally relevant Occupational Therapy services to students with various cognitive, emotional, and/or physical illnesses or disabilities. As a Classified Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a registered Occupational Therapist to adapt school and classroom environments, implement therapeutic activities, and maintain treatment equipment and supplies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adapt school and classroom environments, tools, and materials to improve student functioning and facilitate access to curricular and instructional activities.
  • Implement therapeutic activities and instruct students to provide appropriate care and support the student's IEP plan.
  • Maintain treatment equipment and supplies in clean and proper working condition.
  • Presents information to communicate with the supervisor and provide direct Occupational Therapy services according to IEP goals.
  • Provides services at multiple work sites to provide therapy and assistance as required.
  • Researches resources and methods to determine appropriate activities for addressing students' functional needs and goals.
  • Attends professional development training to improve Occupational Therapy skills as required by the Arizona Occupational Therapy Board.
  • Keeps log with COTA/OTR supervisor signatures to document OTR supervision as required by Arizona Occupational Therapy rules and regulations.
Requirements
  • Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistance program.
  • Current Arizona license to practice Occupational Therapy.
  • National Certification.
  • Valid Driver's License and Evidence of insurability.
  • Current CPR certification.
