Job Summary

Devon Energy is seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Software Developer to join our Capital Operations Technology team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing scalable, Microsoft Azure-based enterprise-class solutions for Devon's Drilling and Completions department.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop scalable, enterprise-class C#, .NET, AngularJS, Python solutions.
* Experience writing SQL queries for data analysis and, preferably, experience working with time series data. Experience with Aveva PI is a plus.
* Design, build, and deploy Microsoft Azure-based applications. Experience working in a hybrid cloud scenario is a plus.
* Collaborate with business owners to ensure solutions and operational activities meet business requirements and are delivered timely.
* Regularly communicate project status to development teams, project managers, supervisors, and stakeholders.
* Prepare project documentation and report schedule changes as needed.
* Identify open issues and risks, and determine action/mitigation plans.
* Improve system and application performance metrics as required.
* Manage daily activities involving existing applications and their owners.
* Provide technical design guidance for future projects and solutions.
* Coordinate development work for transition to operations.
* Handle ad hoc technical requests as required.

Requirements

* Three to five years of development experience.
* Experience with relational databases including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and SQL language.
* Experience writing unit tests for appropriate application coverage.
* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
* Experience in analyzing and understanding business/technology system architectures, databases, and client applications.
* Ability to learn quickly, understand complex problems, and apply useful solutions.
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
* Interest in and capacity to learn about the oil and gas business and the engineering that supports it is a critical requirement.
