Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a cohort of students and provide individualized attention and support
  • Initiate activities that promote prosocial behavior and community awareness
  • Facilitate a social curriculum that focuses on character development and life skills
  • Keep the environment clean and safe, and lead and monitor outside play in varying weather conditions
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure a smooth transition between school and after-school programs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. education, child development, youth studies)
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children, preferably in an after-school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Ability to move easily inside and outside to provide adequate supervision
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including some evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a school or educational setting
  • Knowledge of child development principles and practices
  • Ability to plan and implement engaging activities and programs
