Position Overview

Mission YMCA is in search of a dedicated early childhood professional to take on the role of Site Coordinator.

The Site Coordinator will oversee the comprehensive management of the preschool program, ensuring effective supervision of the educational staff. This role is pivotal in maintaining the quality of the program and ensuring compliance with all relevant licensing standards as mandated by state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster positive interactions with children and their families.
  • Ensure a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for all enrolled children.
  • Supervise and support preschool staff in their daily activities.
  • Maintain program quality and facility standards in accordance with licensing requirements.
Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Availability required Monday through Friday during program hours.
  • Eligibility for Site Supervisor permit or actively pursuing qualification.
  • AA or BA degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
  • A minimum of 350 days of experience working in a childcare setting, with at least 3 hours per day over the past 4 years.
  • Experience in developing early childhood education curriculum.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Current YMCA-approved CPR/First Aid certification (can be obtained upon hiring).
  • Provide TB clearance prior to employment and every two years thereafter.
  • Submit Physical Health Clearance prior to employment and every two years thereafter, including proof of immunizations for Influenza, Pertussis, and Measles.
  • Clearance from fingerprint background check through Community Care Licensing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in leading and managing a team of staff.
  • Familiarity with NAEYC, PITC, Anti-Bias Curriculum, Emergent Curriculum, and Reggio Emilia approaches.
  • Bilingual abilities in Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese are a plus.
Compensation:

Salary range for this position is $38-$40 per hour.
