Position Summary
We are currently seeking a full-time, SOI-Qualified Project Archaeologist to join our team in the Pacific Northwest. This position is designed to be remote, allowing for flexibility in your work environment.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Conducting SHPO file reviews for both above and below ground cultural resources.
- Performing unsupervised Phase I archaeological surveys.
- Monitoring construction activities for compliance with cultural resource management standards.
- Preparing and producing comprehensive cultural resource reports.
Travel to project sites may be required, which could include overnight stays. On average, travel commitments are expected to be around 2 days per week.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- A Master's degree or higher in archaeology, anthropology, or a closely related discipline.
- SOI Qualification.
- Experience in obtaining and fulfilling antiquities permits.
- Ability to conduct fieldwork effectively.
- Willingness to travel, with trips not exceeding 2-3 days at a time.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Strong independent work ethic with a commitment to excellence.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- A valid Driver's License.
