Epic Travel Staffing is currently seeking a dedicated Travel Nurse RN specializing in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

This travel nursing role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing essential care to critically ill children.

Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in critical condition.
  • Monitoring vital signs and managing complex medical equipment.
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • Active NJ RN License
  • A minimum of 1.5 years of experience in a PICU setting
  • Proficiency in essential skills such as EKG interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, and IV management
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS
  • Experience with ECMO and NIH protocols is preferred
Additional Information
  • Patient-to-nurse ratios: 1:1-2; 1:3 for intermediate care
  • First-time travelers are welcome
  • Local candidates are encouraged to apply
  • Floating to other units such as pediatrics and NICU may be required
  • COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required per facility guidelines
