Job Responsibilities

As a Travel RN in PICU, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality care to pediatric patients in critical condition.
  • Monitoring vital signs and managing complex medical equipment.
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Active RN license in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of 1.5 years of nursing experience in a pediatric critical care setting.
  • Current certifications in BCLS, ACLS, and PALS.
  • NIH certification is preferred.
Skills Required

Ideal candidates will possess the following skills:

  • Experience with EPIC, CVP, and CVVH.
  • Ability to perform hemodynamic monitoring and interpret/manage EKGs.
  • Competence in insulin administration and management of IV lines.
  • Familiarity with procedural sedation and the use of IV vasopressors.
  • Knowledge of pediatric care protocols, including trauma and wound care.
