Key Responsibilities:

  • Facility Management: Oversee the opening and closing of the facility, conduct regular walk-throughs to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are being maintained, and respond to emergencies and incidents in a timely and professional manner.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and support branch staff, including the Membership desk and Welcome Center, to ensure they are providing excellent customer service and adhering to YMCA policies and procedures.
  • Customer Service: Build relationships with members, respond to their needs and concerns, and provide a positive and welcoming experience for all visitors.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of members, staff, and guests by following YMCA safety protocols and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a customer-facing environment.
  • Certifications: Current CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, AED, and Oxygen certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of employment). YMCA Lifeguarding or Red Cross Lifeguarding certification (or willingness to obtain prior to hire and maintain).
  • Skills: Demonstrated maturity, sound judgment, and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Benefits:

  • Competitive Pay: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, depending on qualifications.
  • Flexible Scheduling: Part-time, up to 25 hours per week.

Paid Sick Leave accrued at 1.23 hours for every 40 hours worked per year.
