About the Role

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled investment professional to join its Corporate Development team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for generating, managing, and executing investments for the Alexa Fund.

This role will involve identifying opportunities for transformation in digital media, consumer devices, and AI, and leading all aspects of the opportunity lifecycle, from deal origination to execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify opportunities for transformation in digital media, consumer devices, and AI
  • Lead all aspects of the opportunity lifecycle, including deal origination, diligence, deal structuring, negotiation, and execution
  • Act as a subject matter expert on the opportunity
  • Manage the process of building internal and external consensus
  • Work with cross-functional teams to execute transactions
  • Post-transaction work with portfolio companies and Amazon teams to build relationships and drive business development opportunities
About the Team

The Alexa Fund is part of Amazon's Corporate Development team, which values authentic, strong-willed individuals who think creatively and proactively seek out opportunities to advance the growth initiatives of Amazon's businesses.

The selected candidate will act as a primary lead across the full deal lifecycle, from industry research to internal and external relationship building.

Requirements
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Proven track record in building and maintaining a network of entrepreneur and investor relationships
  • Experience aligning and driving cross-functional groups
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating complex investments or acquisitions

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $146,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $242,100/year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
