Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant Program Coordinator is responsible for administering specialized certified nursing assistant training for the college or for clients wanting customized programs outside of the CNA program. This role involves training in a variety of modalities, including health care, hi-fidelity manikins, front line workers, and management and professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement training programs for certified nursing assistants, including curriculum development and instructor hiring and evaluation.
  • Coordinate logistics for training programs, including scheduling, equipment, and facilities.
  • Recruit, screen, and recommend faculty and workshop facilitators.
  • Monitor programs and courses to ensure they meet continuing education mandates of licensing/certification agencies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited nursing program.
  • Two years of program development and coordination experience, including budget monitoring.
  • Hold an unencumbered, current Oregon RN license at time of hire and be able to acquire a Washington RN license within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of direct patient care nursing experience.
  • One year of RN experience in the provision of long-term care facilities in the US.
  • Current certification in CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers and First Aid, or the ability to obtain it prior to employment.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Work is performed in an office setting. Incumbents drive to client offices or field sites to conduct sales calls, finalize contracts, or coordinate training programs requiring the use of a personal vehicle. Work hours require flexibility in order to meet client training requirements. Early morning, evening, and occasional weekend hours are required.
