Job Title: Educational Program Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Educational Program Coordinator to join our team at WorkSource Oregon. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for the oversight and management of an afternoon program, ensuring the safety and well-being of children and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit and register children for the program, gathering necessary data and consent forms from parents.
  • Collaborate with school counselors to target registration for children most at-risk of mental health challenges.
  • Form trusted relationships with children and their families, connecting with them individually to monitor progress in wellness categories.
  • Manage and run programming safely and effectively, ensuring creative genius is being cultivated and children's mental wellness is addressed.
  • Oversee volunteers during programming, ensuring safe and healthy interactions with children.
  • Plan, prepare, and implement activities that align with the interests of participating children, maintaining supply inventory and communicating needs.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings, meet with the Head of Programs, and consistently communicate updates with caretakers of registered children.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in education, early childhood psychology, or related field, or 4 years of related experience working with children.
  • Strong knowledge of child behavior and development, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience in program planning and implementation, passion for supporting children's mental health and well-being.
  • Background check required.
Work Environment:

This is a part-time position, 22-25 hours/week, with a hybrid schedule of 50% office/remote work. The position includes 48 work weeks per year, with 4 no-program weeks dedicated to activity planning, documentation, and small group outings.
