Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all company policies and established protocols.
- Maintain a professional appearance and uphold the company's personal grooming standards.
- Delegate specific tasks to front-end and service desk associates during downtime, as outlined in the assignment sheets.
- Assist with special projects and undertake additional responsibilities as directed by management.
- Support safety initiatives and report any necessary equipment repairs or maintenance.
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment by removing debris and potential hazards.
- Monitor customer behavior and report any suspicious activities to management or security.
- Safeguard the front-end cash drawer when unattended and protect company assets.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with company policy and health regulations.
- Perform cashier and bagging duties as needed.
- Handle service desk functions and, if trained, bookkeeping tasks.
- Complete all other assigned duties.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Must meet the minimum age requirement for specific job functions.
- Ability and willingness to learn various tasks and technical aspects of the role.
- Proven capability to fulfill the technical requirements of cashier and service desk roles.
Prerequisite Training:
- For Service Desk/Kiosk Stores: Completion of Cashier/Service Associate and Service Desk/Kiosk training.
- For Non-Service Desk/Kiosk Stores: Completion of Cashier training.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform repetitive motions while standing or walking for extended periods.
- Capability to lift products weighing up to 15 pounds continuously, 25 pounds frequently, and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to push or pull weights up to 75 pounds as needed.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to gather and transport shopping carts as required.
- Capability to handle various substances related to cleaning and food products.
- Visual acuity to check identification and other documents.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to promote customer satisfaction through high service standards and efficient issue resolution.
- Experience in managing work schedules for associates to align with business needs.
- Experience in handling cash transactions and maintaining accurate logs.
- Knowledge of store policies regarding the acceptance of payments and age-restricted products.
- Experience in providing hassle-free refunds while adhering to company policies.
- Ability to supervise the performance of front-end and service desk associates as directed.
- Commitment to treating all associates with respect and recognizing their contributions.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, with or without accommodations.
