Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Interaction:
Engage with guests to ensure a positive experience, providing direction and assistance as needed while maintaining a professional demeanor. - Facility Oversight:
Supervise daily activities of aquatics programs and maintain cleanliness in all areas. - Event Management:
Ensure all activities run on schedule and that equipment is properly maintained and utilized. - Safety Protocols:
Identify and rectify unsafe conditions promptly, report any facility issues, and ensure adherence to safety policies. - Emergency Response:
Coordinate actions during emergencies and ensure timely reporting of incidents. - Swim Team Leadership:
Provide instruction in accordance with established guidelines, coach the swim team, and manage attendance records. - Team Collaboration:
Work cooperatively with staff, addressing any concerns with the Aquatics Director. - Spiritual Guidance:
Refer guests with spiritual inquiries to appropriate personnel.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma is preferred, along with experience in lifeguarding or a similar role. Candidates must be at least 16 years old and possess current certifications in First Aid, CPR, and Lifeguard Training. Water Safety Instruction Certification is required.
Competencies:
Proficiency in swimming and the ability to teach swimming to various age groups are essential. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a positive attitude are necessary for success in this role.
Physical Requirements:
This position involves light to heavy physical activity, including the ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. The work environment includes both office and aquatic settings, with varying noise levels.
