Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Board Support Analyst to provide administrative support to the Board and Director of Board Support. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record and transcribe Committee and Board meeting minutes, planners, calendars, and other documents.
  • Provide administrative support for Board travel arrangements and ensure the board is regularly informed of relevant local and national transit-oriented events.
  • Coordinate departmental staff efforts, ensure minimal overlap, and follow up on work.
  • Prepare and proof Agendas, Agenda Planner, Resolutions, and Rollovers for Board Packets.
  • Prepare, interpret, and disseminate information concerning departmental programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain calendars of activities, Board attendance, meetings, and various events and coordinate activities within DART, the public, and outside agencies.
  • Screen office and telephone callers, respond to complaints and requests for information, and receive and distribute incoming mail.
  • Respond to Open Records Requests, Files, and Archives department records per agency record retention policy.
  • Serve as a technical resource to Board Support and coordinate with the Technology Department to facilitate the introduction of new technology.
  • Offer training to OBS staff and Board Members for new equipment and software.
  • Perform troubleshooting when issues arise for both Board Members and OBS Staff.
  • Makes recommendations for upgrades of software and hardware.
Requirements
  • Associate degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
  • Two (2) years of general office management experience.
  • Proficiency in PC software applications including Microsoft Office, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and typical office equipment.
  • Analytical and creative skills to solve complex interpersonal, technical, and administrative problems.
  • Ability to be dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
  • Ability to make good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment.
  • Ability to quickly find common ground and solve problems for the good of all.
  • Ability to use rigorous logic and methods to solve complex problems with effective solutions.
Working Conditions

Works in an environment where there is minimum exposure to dust, noise, or temperature. May be moderately exposed to unpleasant working conditions to include dust, noise, temperature, weather, petroleum products, and chemicals while visiting DART's operating facilities.
